Though we got 419 submissions, we felt it’s a mistake to get a writer judged on the basis of a short synopsis and the true test of a screen writer will be how he will write in detailed description of a scene along with dialogue
The new test is to write a scene based on the following content
“A job interview done by a underworld Don to recruit a new wannable gangster “
The writer can imagine the description of the setting, the language, and the no. of characters involved, where it’s happening etc.
Once the scene is written, please upload the content as an open Google Drive link and share it in the submission form on www.rgvden.com.

With regard to the CINEMATOGRAPHERS though we got 37 submissions, our test has not worked, could be because the contestants did not have the resources to shoot what has been asked for
So we are ALTERING the test to the following
To shoot a short video of the following SUBJECTS
- A Close up of a face
- A Tree
- A Road
- A Vehicle
- An animal
- Any one video shot of your personal interest
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The selection of the cinematographer will be based upon the UNIQUENESS of Composition, lighting and the angle of shoot
In effect “it is not about showing the SUBJECT but it is about how UNIQUELY it is shown “

With regard to ACTORS/ACTRESSES, We made a mistake in asking the aspiring actors /actresses to send just their photos.. Even though the submissions came in more than a thousand, the fundamental flaw in what we asked for, is that an actor is a combination of both looks and performance and hence it is not right to ask a viewer to judge based only on a photographic look, So what we wanted to do as a 2nd stage of asking for a dialogue audition , we now are moving it to the 1st stage cancelling the point of sending us photos. So here’s what aspiring actors/actresses have to do is,
- PLEASE send a dialogue audition of the following
“ I am not going to forget whoever is responsible for his death ..no matter how long it takes for I am going to patiently find out. And once I get my hands on him , I am going to inflict such punishment on him that even hell can’t think of something more painful “
The above can be translated into any language of your comfort and also the lines and dialogue don’t need to be literally translated in the same order As long as the content remains the same you can interpret it to suit your manner.
Important Note:
While enacting this dialogue make sure that the EMOTIONAL intensity in the dialogue also reflects in the EYES, in the VOICE and also in the BODY language You can imagine the camera to be the person you are talking to.
Please ensure the audition video of the above dialogue is uploaded to an open Google Drive link. Submit your entry by 20th June.

The one who will get the maximum votes by 4th July will be selected as the DIRECTOR for the first film of RGV DEN’s “ YOUR FILM “.
IMPORTANT NOTE: it is very important to note that the films should not be judged for their production values of neither visual nor sound ,because one has to remember that they have done these films without any financial resources or film industry support
WHAT you need to look for is their own UNIQUE interpretation of the same content given to all of them , Which is about a criminal gang testing a new recruit to join their gang.

The other crew memebers being technical will be choosen by the selected director from professionals in the industry.

In the “YOUR FILM” reality show Ram Gopal Varma himself will throw various complex and creative challenges to the contestants in a series of episodes.
RGV will give an act to perform to each participant. The exact same act will be given to everyone so that the audience can judge and vote on who they think is the best.

At the end of the show one actor and one actress will be selected, again based on whoever the public will vote the maximum. They will be then signed as the lead pair of the film.
